Economic and socio-economic importance of fruit and grape production in Serbia is very high due to favourable natural conditions of our country. Fruit and grapes and their derivatives can be very profitable, particularly regarding export. On the other hand, it directly or indirectly affect the development of other industries and their products such as the production of propulsion and auxiliary machinery, mineral fertilizers, plant protection and other inputs. Accordingly, this paper presents the production of fruit and grapes for the period 1999-2010 in the Republic of Serbia (total), Central Serbia and Vojvodina, as the import-export trade and development prospects of fruit production in Serbia.
