This paper presents aspects recorded in the area of influence of the Research Station for Fruit Growing Iasi during 2020-2022 on five Hungarian sour cherry cultivars, able to capitalize on the Romanian agroclimatic conditions. Analysing from a water stress point of view, the April-July time interval when the intensive growth of shoots took place, during the studied years there was a deficit of -54.2 mm in 2020, - .2 mm in 202 and - 3.8 mm in 2022 compared to the multiannual amount for this period. Analysing the trunk section area in terms of the average of the three years of study, the values were between 0.5 cm2 ('Erdi Ipariʼ) and 24.9 cm2 ('Erdi Biborʼ). The highest values for the crown volume were recorded in the cultivars 'Erdi Kordiʼ (4.53 m3/tree) and 'Dukatʼ (4. 5 m3/tree) and the lowest crown volume was recorded in the cultivars 'Erdi Biborʼ (3.78 m3/tree), 'Erdi Kedvesʼ (3.27 m3/tree) and 'Erdi Ipariʼ (2.20 m3/tree). The density of the tree crown recorded values between 4.45 cm2/m3 ('Erdi Ipariʼ) and 9.28 cm2/m3 ('Erdi Biborʼ).
